Winter, Come Faster

Playing: Shake It Out-Florence + The Machine

Despite the intolerable warm weather we've been having in Southern California, my mind has largely been on fall and winter styles. If I can't be at NYFW right now, at least I can buy cool clothes, right? This Zara coat has a silhouette similar to what I would expect from Alexander McQueen and I really like the edgy leather and zipper details on it. The breezy tank top also from Zara is super comfortable and I've been wanting something Rumi Neely-esque this whole summer.
My favorite part about fall is layering up and I can't wait to start pulling sweaters over collared shirts. I like the print of this Cooperative sweater. It reminds me of the scene in Coraline, where the Other Mother's world falls apart into white space. I've been wanting a denim jacket too, since I like the way Eric Halvorsen pulls one off and the easiness of pulling one over a tank top and still looking good. The McQ blouse was an awesome price and I like the contrasting stripes, so I just decided to get it too.
Trying on this D&G dress made it impossible for me to leave the store without it. It made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the universe and any piece of clothing that makes you feel that good about yourself needs to be bought immediately. To justify purchasing this dress, my mum told me I have to go to prom, so my friend, Sophie, should feel pretty excited that I am going this year. (Boys, if you're taller than me in heels and are nice, attractive, and/or funny, you should take me.) The slip is really easy and I'm hoping to style it with some boots and a sweater this fall.
For the most part, I got everything for an amazing price. The major splurge of this post is this Balenciaga purse. Being the huge Alexander Wang fan that I am, I couldn't pass up this purse, when I saw it in the store window. I love the mixed colors of the hardware and how the hardware makes the rather traditional purse look modern. I really like the sleek lines of it, the defined shape, and the modernity of it. The sales lady told me there were only seven shipped out to California total and I bought the store's last one. This is my early birthday present and it's so perfect.

PS I reached 300 followers, so I'll be hosting a giveaway soon! Stay tuned, please!

    1. THANK YOU! When my brother comes to visit, we'll have to go find some and try them. Any specific toppings that we should try on it like lemons or something?

Also, my dad doesn't mind buying me nice things because I take good care of them and they'll look brand new for years. We have a sort of deal that as long as I bring home good grades, I can buy nice things. ^^

    1. That's what I liked about the Balenciaga purse. It's classic enough for me to be able to use it for years, but the modern metal details make it young enough for me to use.

    1. I used to wear denim jackets all the time in elementary school, so it's funny that I've returned to them years later.
