"She Dressed in White..."

Reading: Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan (Pretty racist, but it's for school.)

Sorry for not blogging recently. Nothing of interest has been going on in my life, since I've been preoccupied with studying for APUSH, physics, and French. The APUSH test is this Wednesday and my physics final is this Monday, so hopefully after that I'll have more free time to do fun things. Last weekend, I picked up a few things I've been wanting after lunch at Tandoori Indian Cuisine. Most of the food was pretty good and the service was friendly, so I'll be back again.
I've been looking for a white blazer for awhile now and it would be nice to own a white pantsuit to wear for formal occasions instead of the same old dresses I have worn a thousand times. Also, all white outfits look so clean and perfect for warmer weather. I love the back of the sweater with the tails and the gold zipper going down it, while the blazer looks rather angular on me and I like that. Both are from Zara and I really like Zara sweaters now. I should just buy one in each color.
Other than holographic accessories, I've also liked lucite accessories for awhile, so I also bought this purse at Zara. It would have been nice to have one without color, but I don't mind the blue. It's really small, so I'm surprised that it can fit my phone and my camera. The only problem I have with clear purses is that everything inside must look perfectly organized otherwise it drives me crazy. This clear envelope is the perfect day clutch too and would make a good addition to my purse collection.
Slightly unrelated but still important, The Great Gatsby was beautiful. Muiccia Prada and Brooks Brothers did a great job with all the costumes. The movie was just what I expected from Baz Luhrmann-over the top and slightly cheesy. Other than the fact that the rap music was inappropriate for the time period, I thought the film captured the glamor and wonder that Jay Gatsby offers perfectly. However, I do understand why critics have not been liking it. Luhrmann films are just one of those things, where you either love it or hate it and I am one of those people that love all of his theatrics. (Edit-Someone mentioned that the movie failed to get you emotionally attached to the characters, which is true. In the book, I found Gatsby's life to be tragic and I hated Daisy intensely, while in the movie, most of my feelings for the characters were shaped by what I had read rather than by the movie itself.)

The title is a quote from The Great Gatsby and after reading the book four times, I'm getting really good at quoting it.

Fan Girl Until the End of Time

Playing: Save Rock and Roll-Fall Out Boy Feat. Elton John
Reading: Despite Tensions, Tourism to North Korea Continues by Andrew Bender
Over the weekend, I went to Los Angeles again and stopped by Little Tokyo to get some lunch. I ordered the Yuzu Shio Ramen at Kagura Downtown. The menu said that the ramen would come in a chicken and pork broth, but truthfully it tasted like ordinary chicken broth. However, the chashu pork was so juicy with a strip of fat through the middle that it more than made up for the boring broth. The bamboo shoots were also surprisingly tender and I loved the inclusion of multiple types of seaweed and fried onions.
Afterwards, I walked to MOCA to check out what has been called the best modern art museum California has to offer. Unfortunately, the museum was installing some new exhibit, so a lot of it was closed. Since so much of it was closed, the museum didn't charge me for my ticket. There were a lot of interesting pieces there and I would like to go back once it's completely open, but there were a lot of paintings there that I can't consider art no matter how hard I try. There were canvases painted completely red and Jason Pollock paintings that just looked like splatters of paint.
This is random, but have any of you listened to "Save Rock and Roll," the new album from Fall Out Boy, yet? A lot of my friends and I agree that it makes us feel rebellious. That's why I let out my inner rebel at MOCA. Look at me staring intently at a painting telling me not to. Rebel. Live fast, live life on the edge, die whenever.
MOCA has a really cute cafe too called Lemonade that serves affordable and delicious treats. My dad and I ordered a Chocolate Torte, a Strawberry Lemonade Cupcake, and a glass of Cucumber Mint Lemonade. They had such interesting flavors of lemonade such as: Watermelon Rosemary and Passion Fruit Pepper. Everything looked so good including the meals, which we didn't try, but from everything we ate, I really liked the place. According to their website, they have a location on USC's campus, so that's all the more reason to go to USC.
I spent some time walking around Downtown LA and when I saw the building in the far left and recognized it from 500 Days of Summer, I fan girleduncontrollably. Tom's favorite place in LA is Angela's Heights (called Angel's Knoll in real life) and I just stumbled upon it that day. I sat on Summer's and Tom's bench, happily thinking about Joseph Gordan Levitt and how I really would like a photo with him on the bench one day. For now, I'll have to live with these photos that my friends edited of us together. Have you ever watched 500 Days of Summer? If so, how did you like it? Talk to me and we can draw parallels between Summer and Daisy from The Great Gatsby like I did with my APUSH teacher. It'll be fun-ish.

Damn Teenagers

Playing: Hysteria-Muse
Reading: North Korean Posters by David Heather
Over holiday, Sophie and I had an art picnic. It gave us a chance to show off our colorful pen collections and to look at art books together, while drawing our own designs and planning out our adventure zine. We were sitting in the middle of a park and just the way we looked and acted, it made me think of one thing, "Those damn teenagers always have to one up each other with their weirdness." Sophie and I are pretty odd whenever we hang out with each other due to a plethora of inside jokes and a liking for all things pun related. Whenever we go into stores together, we always get stared at and it makes me wonder what the employees are thinking.
Some of the annoying things us teenagers do is order off the kid's menu, even though we're well over 12-years-old, just because it's cheaper. Sophie did just that at Ruby's and bought me a milkshake, which she has owed me for about four years now. The waitress gave us an odd look, when we ordered, so it just makes me want to read their minds.
After Sophie ate her snack, we went to go see The Perks of Being a Wallflower at the dollar theatre and I have to say, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Sam and Patrick were nothing like what I expected, but I think I loved Patrick in the movie even more than I did in the book. The movie did a good job getting all of the book crammed into less than two hours, but there were two or three anecdotes from the book that would've improved the movie. Charlie was also well portrayed, especially considering that Charlie is a fairly complex character. What the movie really made me wish for though was a chance to have these amazing friends that go out with you and do wonky stuff. I really wish I had that sense of adventure and that sense of not giving a damn about life with my friends.
The day after Sophie's and my damn teenagers day, I went to Laguna Beach with London to explore and walk around. We went all over Laguna Beach and while we were walking around, I heard someone shouting my name and who else would it be other than Sophie? So there you have it, Sophie stalks me because she's obviously in love with me. Sorry about this post being kind of lame. I just wanted to get something out for you, since I'm currently searching through my photos, trying to muster up some sort of a post. However, I went back to Los Angeles yesterday, so there may be an interesting post coming up in the near future.

★All American★

Playing: I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor-The Arctic Monkeys
Reading:Vogue September 2012
It was one of those weekends, where I had no idea what to do and decided to just head down to the beach area. Recently, the USS Iowa moved to San Pedro, so I decided to go check it out. (Smooth transition!) Down in San Pedro is Gaffey Street Diner, which is one of those all-American restaurants that looks like a complete dive, but actually sells really amazing food. I originally saw it on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, but I've gone back to it many times. The breakfast food tends to be better than the lunch courses, but my Country Fried Steak With Biscuit and Home Fries was pretty good although it was a tad burnt. The gravy is definitely one of the best things at the diner, so I highly suggest the Biscuit With Gravy there.
Parked in the lot right next to the USS Iowa was this wonderfully retro car. I feel like the cars from the fifties and sixties had more personality than cars do now, but I suppose that's because car manufacturers are aiming for more aerodynamic cars to increase fuel efficiency nowadays. You can actually see a lot of these vintage cars around the beach areas here.
As for the actual ship, it was incredible how large it was, but you didn't get to see a lot on the ship. They roped a lot of it off, so it felt like a tour, but the traffic was awful. You'd be standing at one spot for ten minutes to get into a room and then you'd be rushed through the rooms. In a few years, I think they'll improve it to a near perfect tour. However, this launched my dad into one of his Proud to be an American speeches that he gives me whenever we visit anything semi-patriotic. Like baseball games...
The whole area of San Pedro and Long Beach is filled with areas for commercial shipping. The boat pictured here carries around crates that are later attached to eighteen wheelers and ships them from country to country. Also, the red nub, for lack of a better word, protruding from the ship's front is used to break waves for a smoother ride and the people who operate the machines used to load and unload the crates make around $400,000 a year. Sounds like a good job to me and sorry for the random facts. My friend, Chelcee, always complains that I share useless facts with her. It's a trait I picked up from my dad.
Overall, the area around the USS Iowa is very lovely and if you're into military stuff and the USA's defense systems, I suggest visiting it. I actually saw quite a few foreigners there from Germany, France, and I believe, Belgium. At least, that's what I picked up from listening to them speak. If you'd like to, San Pedro and Long Beach also offer deep sea fishing trips, helicopter tours, seafood dining, and lots of Mexican culture, especially at this one port that is filled with Mexican seafood places. It's actually one of my favorite places to get seafood now.
Also, I recently bought some Alexander McQueen sunglasses for myself, so that I can go out in the sun without my eyes watering, plus a Vince Camuto blazer. If you would like to see more photos of them, you can see them on The Suburban Urbanites. I did a perfume trade for the first time, where I got Dolce and Gabbana's Light Blue in exchange for my L'eau D'Issey. Super excited to wear it! At Target, I bought 10 Things I Hate About You, which is one of my favorite movies ever, and some notebooks for me to jot down ideas in. I like how each one is focused on some of my favorite cities: New York, Paris, and London.
Ooh, and then I purchased some more Sentimental Circus stationary to use for writing to my friends. It's so cute in a creepy, Tim Burton-esque way. Anyways, I hope you're enjoying your summer, while I sit at home doing my summer assignments and moan about how school needs to leave me alone.

Tomatoes on Tomatoes and Used CD's

Over the summer, my brother and I really struggle to come up with things to do, so most of the time, our days revolve around food. I know that sounds lame, but eating is one of our favorite activities. The Fried Green Tomatoes at Eat Chow were very interesting. The green tomatoes were dipped in cornmeal batter, fried, and topped with an aioli of sorts plus salsa. It definitely has a Mexican flair even though it's a southern classic.
For my entree, I ordered the Pan Seared Salmon Sandwich a la carte. It usually comes with a mixed greens salad or Caesar salad, but seeing as I don't eat most vegetables, it would've been a waste on me. I was surprised at how large the salmon steak was, but I found the bitterness from the asparagus to be overwhelming, so I took it out and then the sandwich was much better.
Just down the street is Second Spin, a used CD/DVD store. I love this place because of their large selection of every genre of music other than Gregorian monk music of course. (Please excuse my lame attempt at making you smile.) Second Spin also offers discounts and deals almost everyday, such as buy three used CD's or DVD's and get the third free.
I ended up purchasing three Killers CD's that I had not had the chance to buy yet. I've been listening to these CD's pretty much everyday since then. Since I bought two used CD's, the guy at the counter told me I would save money if I did their aforementioned deal, so I went for it. Haha, I fell for their plan, but whatever. As you can see, I grabbed another Joseph Gordon Levitt movie, 50/50, which was supposed to be funny, but it the story line was more depressing. Then my brother also chose The Dark Knight because we love the Batman series and the pencil trick in this film. Plus, how gorgeous is Christian Bale?
Afterwards, we drove down to Casey's Cupcakes to bring home a snack for the family. We got Scrumptious Cinnamon Sugar, Smokin S'Mores, Luscious Lemon, Grandma's German Chocolate, Peanut Butter Pizazz, and Caribbean Coconut. All of them were pretty tasty except Grandma's German Chocolate, but then again, chocolate cupcakes are usually pretty bad. My favorite are the lemon flavors at any given store.
Oh and since it's summer time, I feel like I have to show you as many photos of the beach as possible to prove I'm a Californian or something. The drive there takes you through many different beaches and you get a good idea of how wealthy the people of Newport Beach area are. Newport Beach houses some of the wealthiest people on the planet and most of the homes there will coast you over a million dollars including the rundown shacks. Oh, how great it is to have rich people in a town so close that way I can enjoy all of their fancy shopping centers and trendy restaurants.
Have you ever heard of Newport Beach before?

First Day Back From Spain

Playing: You Could Be Happy-Snow Patrol
Reading: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
On the first day back from my wonderful trip to Spain, I had to go to my first SAT prep class, which put me in a horrible mood because let's get real, what teenager would choose SAT prep class over sleeping in? To make up for the bad start of my day, I went down to Corona Del Mar to get my favorite sandwich from Bruegger's, the lox on a garlic onion bagel. I always get the works on it-capers, tomatoes, and red onions. My dad got my hooked on this, while we were staying at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. Every morning for breakfast, I had a lox on a garlic or onion bagel at their breakfast buffet. Fun fact, they couldn't get my family two rooms next to each other like we requested, so they put us up in one of their nicest super private suites as an apology. Definitely makes my list of favorite hotels!
I walked around, shopping at all these small boutiques there and came across this lovely Thunderbird. The Thunderbird is my dream car and I've been wanting one, since I was in elementary school. I want one in pastel yellow, but this powdery blue is lovely too. Whenever I see one of these driving around, I always shout, "Thunderbird!" I did this once, when I was out with my friends, and they all stared at me...
My mum made up for forcing me to take SAT prep classes by getting me this Marc by Marc Jacobs jacket at one of the boutiques. I love the cut of it in the front with the cool cut out at the bottom and the long, thin lapels. What's weird is this is a size six and I fit into it, when I usually wear a size two or four for Marc by Marc Jacobs. I also like the subtle color changes in the weave of it.
My friend, Jackie, has been getting after me about eating healthier, since I've met her. Boy, would she be proud seeing me buy all of this, when I went to Albertson's after my trip to Corona Del Mar. I bought some yogurt to try in my smoothies that I've been having for breakfast and instead of getting my favorite Lay's crisps, I bought pop chips. Also, bought some frozen fruit for my smoothies and some yogurt drinks. The mushroom ravioli and light pesto sauce will be good for dinner. And I just tossed the Walker's shortbread in the photo to show you that I've been loving it recently.
After Corona Del Mar and Albertson's, I went to the post office to pick up all my mail from the week that I was gone. Surprisingly, I had three letters from Jessy, Sophie, and Rebecca. I replied to all of their letters and made envelopes for them. Rebecca's is the large pastel blue envelope, while Sophie's is the lavender one with scalloped edges and Killers' lyrics on it. Jessy got the only envelope with zig zag edges. The only regret I have is that I forgot to scent them. I love mailing letters to people, so I hope all three of them got their letters. Overall a very productive day until I fell asleep due to jet lag..
Oh and I forgot to tell you, I went to go see Ted the day we left for Spain with my brother, Ted. It was so cute and funny. I thought the story was very creative because we all have that one friend from when we were little that we wish could be alive. I really recommend it to all of you unless you're the type that gets easily offended by jokes that make fun of everyone and everything, especially Susan Boyle, Taylor Lautner, and Justin Bieber.
Have you seen any good movies lately?

Whatever, Whatever, I Do As I Please

Playing: 1901-Phoneix
Reading: Antigone by Sophocles
Disclaimer everyone, I am not a title making genius. Let's just get on with the show about what I did over the weekend.  As you probably know, I love Tim Burton a lot. I love his movies, poems, and art, so I was dying to go see Dark Shadows. While it did leave me feeling disappointed, I have to disagree with the critics that said it wasn't funny at all. There were tons of awkward moments, where the main character Barnabas (Johnny Depp) from the 1760's had to adapt to the 1970's and all the modern appliances, that were chuckle worthy. Although this movie was dry from time to time, the beautiful set and well thought out costumes totally made up for it. The main complaint I have with this movie is that too many story lines were going on. If they cut out Bella Heathcote's unimportant story of how her parents left her in a mental house and Chloe Grace Moretz'z random transformation into a werewolf, the movie would've been a lot better.
I also tried the Turkey Melt at Berkeley Dog, which was unlike any other Turkey Melt I've had. It had slices of turkey covered in grilled onions, cheese, and bacon. I'm used to the typical turkey melt with American cheese, so this was definitely a step up and it was a decent price.
My friend, Sophie, let me use her Chanel nail polish from Spring/Summer 2008 called Antelope. This has to be one of the prettiest nail polishes I have ever used. It's tan with a metallic shine and when you go out into the sun, it looks like the prettiest blush ever. My camera did not pick up how pretty this color is and frankly, it looks kind of bland in this photo, but trust me, this is such a gorgeous color. It almost looked like I had pearls on my nails and what made it so pretty is how close it is to my skin color, so it was also subtle. In class, I could not stop staring at my nails. Considering Chanel nail polish is like $30, I was not impressed by its staying power. By the fourth day, it started to chip really badly on all of my nails except my thumbs. By the end of the week, I had to take it off because it was almost all gone.
The Orange County Great Park has been in development for years and part of my summer plan is to check out all the farmers markets within driving distance that I can, so I just had to check out the one at the Great Park. They had tons of cute stalls with specialty items like the local raw honey shown above and organic, gluten-free baked items. They also had fresh vegetables and fruits plus gourmet food trucks, vintage records, dog clothing, and organic pet food. I did buy some amazing nectarines and sweet cherries, while I was there too.
Before going to Daniela's party, I made Chef Michael Symon's 3 Minute Chocolate "Cup" Cakes with my brother. It was such an easy recipe and took next to no time at all. However, I did find I had to microwave everything for twice as long as he suggested. I used one and a half bars of Lindt's 85% cocoa dark chocolate and one bar of Lindt's 70% cocoa dark chocolate. I found that our's came out way too rich, so I think next time I'll use two and a half bars of Lindt's 65% cocoa dark chocolate plus some vanilla extract. I topped mine with whipped cream and the left over chocolate bar crumbled into sprinkles. Eat it while it's hot! It always amazes me how much I can squish into one weekend...Until next time, hope you have a most fabulous day!

Recent Acquisitions

Playing: Born to Run-Bruce Springsteen
Reading: Fashion Box by Antonio Mancinelli
I say acquisitions instead of gets because it sounds fancier and acquisitions instead of buys because I didn't buy all of this. And above all else, I just like the way acquisitions sounds.
Over my brother's spring break, he and his roommates came to stay at my home. It just happened that two of his friends had gone on a Mexican cruise for a few of the days, so they left some Mexican snacks behind and forgot to bring them back to school. However, I must admit, I am enjoying the chance to try some foreign snacks and sweets.
I bought the Moulin Rouge DVD, since Netflix took it down for some reason even though they have all these weird movies. It always surprises me how Netflix won't have popular movies on instant play, but they'll have hundreds of  documentaries on WWII or the complete collection of Guns, Germs and Steel on instant play. Also, bought the new All American Rejects CD and The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories. I also bought the 500 Days of Summer DVD, but I couldn't find it, when I was taking the photo. My friend, Tina, brought some sparkly pink nail polish to school for me, so the whole day I was afraid of the bottle shattering in my pencil case. Luckily it didn't, so I'll have to test it out for Tina!
I also went to Urban Outfitters, hoping to get a new blazer to replace the one I've outgrown, but I ended up leaving with a pair of shorts, earrings, and some bracelets with a watch. I need to rebuild my jewelry collection, since next year I won't have to worry about dressing out for PE. All my jewelry is from elementary school before I had to dress out and I stopped wearing jewelry as soon as I realized it took too much time. Therefore, all my jewelry is extremely outdated and I'm not going to lie, cheap looking.
I ran off to Mitsuwa recently to restock my candy supply in my backpack. Don't worry I only have one of these in my backpack at a time. When I was opening a pack in my Chemistry class, my teacher told me that we're not allowed to eat in class, so I asked, "Would you like one?" And he took one and ate it, but I still had to put mine away. Haha, he's one of my favorite teachers though and whenever I pull out of a bag of candy to get one piece for myself, I end up giving away at least eight pieces to all my friends around me. I also wanted to try the GreeNoodles because they're supposed to be healthy, but then I realized, it doesn't come with a flavor packet, so it was kind of bland and it didn't soak up the soup I made for it.
While I was looking round my house, I found some notepads that I had bought in Japan four years ago that have never been opened. And then my brother found some strawberry and lavender mints that he had bought for some girls two years ago, while we were in Venice, that he had forgotten to give. They're now mine, since he no longer keeps in touch with the two of them. There's no expiration date, so I hope they're still tasty. At least the containers they came in are lovely and are perfect for keeping treasures in. I love finding things from old trips that I had completely forgotten about. Ooh, talking about a foreign surprises! There's a new boy in my PE class from Tokyo. He was born in Los Angeles, but his family moved back to Japan, then to England, then to Germany, back to Japan, and now they're in my town! So his accent is fobbily accented British English! What a fabulous surprise!

What Did You Do at School Today?

Playing: Up the Junction-Squeeze
Reading: Wicked by Gregory Maguire
Other than reading books under the desk and writing letters to friends, I have been doing some pretty amusing things during class. Yes, I do pay attention in class most of the time, but sometimes my mind slips and I just can't focus anymore, so here's what I do.
In general, I like to write notes and post them on unsuspecting victims' backs. However, my friend, Boyul, had the bad luck of being the only target that got photographed for my blog. I did make it up to him though by donating to one of his charities that builds wells for North Koreans, so we're even, right? Only in history and English can I get away with sticking notes on the people around me!
English is actually one of my crazier classes. Another person in my class, Jaeho, held up his pizza box and yelled at us that anyone could have the rest, while we were reading in class. Of course, nobody really wanted any, so Sophie took it just because. That also happened to be the day, I had brought my 1981-ish tennis racket to school. All of my friends on the tennis team like to make fun of my racket. Why is it so heavy? Are you sure this isn't a racket ball racket? The neck is too long and the face is too small! How do you play with this? Oh the questions I get asked! Truth is, I play racket ball during PE and all the rackets at school are broken, so my mum gave me her racket from 1981-ish and it's better than everything else available.
I also brought in Peeps for my Chemistry teacher to explode as an "I'm sorry that my group and I melted your pressure gauge during the lab" present. Since my period is his favorite class and we were the only ones to have someone bring in Peeps, we were the only ones that got to witness cute marshmallow creatures explode due to air pressure changes.
Our chemistry teacher gave all the Honors Chemistry classes a challenge. We were to fill up a glove with solid O2, so that the glove would expand as the O2 sublimed. Whichever class could get the glove the largest without the glove popping for an hour won extra credit. All the other classes left the assignment up to the smartest kids, having them calculate the volume of the glove and use stoichiometry to figure out how many grams of solid O2 would be necessary to fill the glove. My period just left it up to three of the silliest kids who just tossed in a few hand fulls of the O2 and we won. The one under the paper towel dispenser is our's, but supposedly it got even larger after I left.
Then I'm starting something new. I never have time to hang out with friends on the weekend due to an excessive amount of homework, so I decided I'm going go try to make plans with my friends every single Friday from now on. Last Friday, I  went to Kavya's place to watch my first Bollywood film, Dostana, about two guys pretending to be lovers in order to get the apartment they want. It was actually a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to bumming around my town with my friends every Friday now. I hope I can make this happen, though. Even if we're just watching a movie, it'll be fun, right? Gotta keep my head up and I think this will help.
Oh, and here's a meme that Jaeho made, which pretty much summarizes my attitude to school right now. Try to look rebellious in front of my peers, but I still do all my homework! I thought it was pretty funny, since it's so true.

Fast Times with Chelcee

Playing: Godless Girl-The Crookes
Reading: The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels
Chelcee and I do a lot of stupid stuff together. Last Friday, we hung out with each other for pretty much the whole day. During lunch, she allowed me to draw a top hat wearing, mustached whale on her arm, since top hats on whales with mustaches are very in vogue right now. This sparked the idea that drawing all over Chelcee's arms was acceptable at our lunch table, so she left the table with multiple whales on her arms.
After school, I went over to Chelcee's house to cook with her before we sat down to watch the Adjustment Bureau, which was actually very interesting. I now want to travel strictly by doors. Anyways, you can see me here cutting up pancetta like a pro chef with my now stripey hair. This is what all the cool kids are doing. All of them.
Part of being friends with me or any of my friends is having the ability to parody those "artsy people" online. "Look how deep this photo of the eggs is! So artsy and cool, right?" we'll all chime in, when looking at this photo. But seriously, there's nothing artsy about the eggs we're about to stick in our instant ramen.
Once we were done cooking our chicken instant noodle with green onions and eggs plus our mi goreng with pancetta and green onions, we moved all our food and juice into her room and balanced everything on a mini table. Such fine dining for us, huh? We each got our own bowl of instant noodles, but shared the mi goreng. I have decided that we are the definition of healthy eating. We have our starches, our veggies, our fruits in the form of juice, and our protein. All we need it some dairy and we're good.
Once we were done feasting upon our delicious meal of instant noodles, we snacked on shrimp crackers while watching the movie. We were actually watching the movie as a makeup class for confirmation. Even though at the end, I had to answer question on how this movie compared to Catholic beliefs, I really enjoyed the movie. It sparked some new ideas in my head and I shall try to get my hand on one of the Adjustment Bureau's hats. (Watch the movie and then I'm sure you'll understand!) Now that I think about it, Chelcee and I have a lot of movie nights together and we both love pretending to be artsy together. Then again, isn't that what friends are for?

PS The title is a play on Fast Times at Barrington High, an album by The Academy Is...
